Foundation Description:
"Changemakers was founded to catalyze needed reforms in philanthropy and to cultivate the best practices in the field. With priorities derived from interviews with 125 philanthropic leaders and seed money from 100 founding donors, Changemakers created the first CD ROM about philanthropy and is seeking to raise $20 million from donors new to community-based philanthropy by 2005."
Changemakers is a grantmaking organization that works to raise public awareness about charitable giving. The foundation channels its resources through a democratic process to strengthen existing projects and to help new ventures focused on community-based philanthropy.
